Day One:
Fly Air New Zealand Business Class to Auckland. Your driver will greet you at the Airport and take you to the Ferry Terminal for the short trip to Waiheke Island, location of the chic and nautically-inspired boutique hotel, The Boatshed. Stay two nights at The Boatshed
Day Two:
Once “Hippy”, now totally cool, Waiheke Island offers world-acclaimed architecture, private sculpture collections, boutique galleries, vineyards and golden, sandy beaches, and spectacular coastal scenery of the Pacific Ocean. Explore Waiheke Island today by road with the exclusive use of The Boatshed’s ‘Mini Moke’ including a gourmet picnic hamper for two (open roof jeep)
Day Three:
Leave Waiheke Island and fly from Auckland to Rotorua where you are met by your personal driver from Treetops Lodge & Wilderness Experience. You will stay two nights at this lodge, voted by Travel and Leisure (USA) Readers as the number one lodge in New Zealand. Spend the afternoon on a gentle hike to the beautiful Bridal Veil Waterfalls, some of the 70km of walking trails on the estate.
Day Four:
Set in 2,500 acres of 1,000 year old native forest, your choice of activities at Treetops is immense. Be escorted by the Lodge Chef on the Maori Indigenous food trail and learn the secrets of early Maori medicinal treatments and remedies.
Day Five:
Fly south to Wellington, New Zealand’s capital. From here you will travel by helicopter following the Palliser Bay coast line to Wharekauhau Country Estate, one of New Zealand’s oldest sheep stations. This multi award-winning, internationally renowned luxury estate is framed by the Rimutaka Ranges to the west and Palliser Bay to the east, surrounded by ancient native forest, spectacular beaches, bountiful rivers and tranquil lakes. Wharekauhau Country Estate is located in the Wairarapa region, world-renowned for its artisan foods and boutique wines.
Day Six:
This lodge is one of New Zealand’s premier lodges and a member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World. Take a farm tour and try your hand at sheep shearing or help round them up with the farm dog. Horse ride or quad bike for a trek on rugged farmland and spectacular beaches.
Day Seven:
Depart Wharekauhau and fly to Queenstown from Wellington. There you will spend two nights at Remarkables Lodge. Only ten minutes from the South Island playground of Queenstown, Remarkables Lodge is at the base of the famed Remarkables mountain range, in charming mature gardens where bellbirds call.
Day Eight:
Free time to look around Queenstown
Day nine:
Depart Queenstown for Australia.
